“My design and manufacturing process is a hybrid of the traditional and the contemporary approach”
I have a lifelong passion for music and motor racing. My early love of music inspired me to learn the electric guitar. Meanwhile, my enthusiasm for motor racing sparked a desire to improve and refine products to gain a competitive advantage continually.
As a result, I customised and enhanced all my early guitars, eventually building my own guitar from scratch at the age of 16. This journey has been marked by constant evaluation, refinement, and improvement of my knowledge and skills to create musical instruments that I can trust for success, much like a racing driver relies on their equipment for a competitive edge.
While studying traditional furniture making in a 3D Design (Designer Maker) at university, I honed my skills in CAD software and CNC machining. This experience aligned perfectly with my philosophy of evaluating, refining, and repeating a manufacturing process to achieve flawless results through meticulous hand finishing techniques.
After graduation, I advanced my skills further through a series of roles in commercial design and manufacturing, including the automotive industry. This diverse background has positioned me well to establish my own company, Yarde Guitars. My philosophy remains unchanged: to create musical instruments that can be relied upon for success.
